The Bordeaux Wine Festival celebrates wine in all its forms, featuring a vintage tasting of Grands Crus Classes 1855 at an exceptional venue, highlighting the diversity of Bordeaux wines.

Mirroring the diverse appellations of Bordeaux vineyards, the Bordeaux Fete le Vin festival strives to represent the richness of Bordeaux and Nouvelle-Aquitaine wines. In 2024, the festival will once again include exceptional tall ships, connecting the event to Bordeaux's wine trade heritage.

Every July, the quays of Pauillac transform into a lively "Croisette," reminiscent of Cannes, for the Harvest Festival celebrating cinema. The festival features around twenty films competing for the "International Prize," judged by a professional jury, and the "Young Audience Prize," decided by festival-goers. The event includes Q&A sessions with film teams, conferences, master classes, and special screenings of premieres and classics, with free outdoor screenings hosted by the Philippine de Rothschild Foundation.

The festival attracts cinephiles and industry professionals worldwide and offers wine tastings at local châteaux and wine cellars, showcasing Pauillac's renowned wines. This blend of cinema and wine provides a unique cultural experience, combining the scenic beauty of Bordeaux with the glamour of the film world.

During the summer months, Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux winegrowers invite you to their vineyards for Vinobalades, an evening of wine, food, and conviviality. The program includes a guided walk through the vineyards, a tour of the property with the winegrower, and a free welcome drink. The highlight of the evening is a friendly dinner hosted by the winemaker, where guests can enjoy local wines and dishes. The event is enriched with festive activities, making it a memorable experience that combines the region's wine heritage with its culinary traditions. Enjoy a unique opportunity to connect with the makers of Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux wines in a warm and inviting settings.

The Wine and Gastronomy Festival at Lesparre-Medoc, held at the historic Tower of Honor, is a vibrant celebration of Médoc wines and other appellations, along with regional gastronomy and crafts. The festival features 40 exhibitors, including winegrowers from Médoc, Bordeaux, and beyond, offering wines from regions such as Champagne, Alsace, Corbieres, and Charentes.

Local producers will also be present, providing a rich variety of foods to delight your taste buds. The event promises continuous entertainment over two days, including concerts and shows, making it a perfect destination for wine enthusiasts and food lovers. This festival offers a unique opportunity to explore a wide array of wines and regional specialties in a setting that combines cultural heritage with festive enjoyment.

The Vino Voce Festival in Saint-Emilion, scheduled for September 6-8, 2024, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This unique festival explores the art of voice in its many forms, blending musical performances with literary and cultural presentations. It features a variety of concerts, including "Broadway Songs" on September 6, "L'Ame des Poetes" on September 7, and "Mujeres" on September 8, showcasing talents in opera, classical, and contemporary music. The festival also includes masterclasses and workshops for voice enthusiasts. Events will be held at notable locations in Saint-Emilion, such as the Salle des Dominicains, Cloître des Cordeliers, and Chateau Soutard, among others. The festival is renowned not just for its musical offerings but also for its connection with the region's famous wines, providing attendees with opportunities to explore and enjoy local vintages.

Marathon du Medoc

The Marathon du Medoc is a unique marathon that winds through the  renowned vineyards of Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Saint-Estephe, Medoc, and  Haut-Medoc. This event attracts over 9,000 runners, many of whom don  creative costumes, adding to the festival-like atmosphere. Along the 26-mile  course, participants can indulge in local delicacies such as oysters, steak, and  various wines, providing a gastronomic twist to the traditional marathon  experience.

Despite the indulgent nature of the event, it is known for being one of the  most medically supervised marathons globally, ensuring the safety of all  participants. The blend of rich cuisine, wine, and scenic vineyard routes  makes the Marathon du Médoc not only a challenging athletic endeavor but  also a delightful experience for spectators. This marathon is celebrated for its  combination of sport, culture, and festive spirit, making it a standout event in  the running community.

Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion

The celebration in Saint-Emilion from September 20-22, 2024, marks the 25th anniversary of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, alongside the Jurade’s Harvest Proclamation, or "Ban des Vendanges." This event is steeped in tradition and showcases the rich history and culture of the region.

The Jurade, a historical brotherhood, plays a central role in this celebration. Dressed in traditional red robes, the Jurats will lead a ceremonial procession through the medieval streets of Saint-Émilion, culminating in the proclamation from the top of the King's Tower. This proclamation historically signified the official start of the grape harvest, ensuring the grapes were picked at optimal ripeness for quality wine production. The weekend's events include a variety of festivities such as wine tastings, cultural tours, and the induction of new members into the Jurade, including notable figures from various fields. The celebration also features a torchlit procession, musical performances, and a fireworks display, creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere for attendees.

Sixteen winemakers from Loupiac, along with sixteen farmer friends from Landes, will showcase the region's gastronomic heritage, offering visitors a chance to savor local specialties. As they explore the picturesque wine region, guests can create a fair trade, traditional farmer’s basket filled with regional produce, perfect for sharing with family and friends during the festive season.

Set in a village with rolling landscapes adorned in the vibrant colors of autumn and located near Bordeaux, the event spans two days of gourmet celebrations in a charming South-Western ambiance. It promises a delightful experience for all tastes and ages, combining fine wine, delicious food, and a warm community atmosphere.
